Both ES and NQ pushed aggressively higher through the European morning, establishing sharp session highs before stalling and pulling back into the open. The broader sequence remains firmly in an uptrend of higher highs and higher lows, but the immediate impulse faces resistance at the overnight peaks.

What are NQ overnight levels?

NQ overnight levels are the prices that framed the Nasdaq-100 futures session between the prior cash close and the 9:30 AM ET open: the overnight high and low, accepted or rejected levels, and their position relative to the prior close and range.

LiquidityLevels publishes them in three briefings a day with approximate QQQ equivalents (NQ divided by roughly 41), so options and ETF traders can use them directly.

Why overnight futures matter

  • NQ often leads on technology and rate news, so its overnight range sets the tone for QQQ.
  • NQ moves more points per percent than ES, which makes the translation to QQQ dollars useful for sizing.
  • Overnight highs and lows are early reference points once the cash session opens.

How the levels are derived

Each briefing is generated before the Asia, London and US session opens from recorded chart observations on NQ (and NQ or ES for cross-reference): where price sits in the visible range, the trend sequence, how it reacted around key levels, and the scheduled events ahead. Levels are then translated into QQQ terms using a reference ratio of about 41 (NQ points per QQQ dollar). The ratio drifts with futures basis and dividends, so the result is an approximation. How do NQ levels map to QQQ?
Divide NQ by roughly 41 for an approximate QQQ price. The ratio drifts, so use it as orientation.
